Hyundai i45
Overview
The crisp, modern lines provide an instant insight into the character of the latest i45. The look is that of a model comes along with status, style, comfort and convenience. The i45 is the latest in a long line of cars from an award-winning company that understands what today buyers want. Think of it as engineering inspiration.
Exterior
The i45’s generous but well proportioned dimensions give it a powerful presence on the road and in your driveway, while thoughtful attention to detail enhances the impression of sophistication. These days, the only thing predictable about the weather is its lack of predictability. Who knows whether it’ll be hot, cold, snowing, foggy, or raining cats and dogs. Fortunately, the i45 is prepared to take on the elements, and look good while doing it.
Interior
Whether you’re a driver or a passenger, the interior of the Sonata provides all you’d expect from a luxury saloon. The quality of the materials used on the leather steering wheel and gear knob which comes as standard across the range. The feel and smell of leather upholstery on the Premium model along with high level of equipment all add up to a first class way to travel. More importantly, passengers in the rear seats can benefit from fresh air as well. Fully adjustable, the air jet housings blend smoothly into the sculpted form of the trim, making not just a work of art but also a comfortable feel regardless of the length of the journey.
Under the hood
Never miss another shift. The step-gate shift pattern of the 6-speed automatic transmission, together with the secure, tight-gripped feel of the gear stick, means you have less likelihood of engaging the wrong gear. Theta 2.0 or 2.4 MPI petrol engines provide measured, powerful performance. Plus low emissions, reduced fuel consumption thanks to lowered weight, and minimised vibration, particularly when idling and accelerating.
Safety
Passenger and pedestrian safety is of the highest priority at Hyundai. Advanced technology is included in order for you to steer clear of potential trouble. From a safety aspect, the i45 is well furnished. Nimble handling, including precise cornering ability provide the first line of defence in an array of ingenious safety features. A total of 6 airbags are built in. They include full-length curtain airbags, the front and sides, and side airbags for the rear seat passengers. Disc brakes and the brake booster have also been added for stopping performance. Discs on wheels and an electronic anti-lock system guarantee fast and safe braking.

Kia Sportage
Overview
The new Sportage marks a dramatic shift in design direction for Kia’s compact SUV. Longer, lower and wider than the previous generation model, the new Sportage is immediately identifiable by its ‘tiger’ face – incorporating Peter Schreyer’s striking signature grille design that links all new Kia models.
Exterior
Sitting below the central bonnet-mounted badge, the ‘tiger face’ sweeps out to effectively frame the grille before broadening out and encompassing the car’s large and piercing headlamps to create a distinctive and powerful visage. The strength of this countenance is reinforced by the clamshell bonnet and its contours that run into raised shoulders as they flow down to meet the headlamps.
Interior
The new Sportage’s spacious cabin looks as dynamic and sporting as its exterior. It’s dominated by the sweeping dashboard, which broadens from the edges and then narrows dramatically in the middle to create an eye-catching centre console. This emphasises the width of the car, making those on board feel protected, safe and secure.
Under the hood
The 2.0-litre Theta II engine, which is technically similar to its larger sibling (2.4-litre, currently unavailable in Singapore) has a 1,998 cc capacity and produces a maximum power of 166 ps, with 197 Nm of peak torque at 4600 rpm. Available only in 6-speed automatic transmission, performance is strong with 100 kph (62 mph) achieved in 10.6 seconds (automatic) and a top speed of 184 kph (114 mph).
Safety
The new Kia Sportage has been designed to score a 5-Star rating in Euro NCAP’s crash tests and maximum scores in the USA’s two crash test programmes. The all-new platform and bodyshell employs a much greater proportion high strength and extra-high strength steels than the previous model.
Structural improvements include stronger and straighter longitudinal side members in the engine bay floor; an enhanced B-Pillar design that links to upper and lower cross-members to form an internal rollover hoop; reinforced floor members in the trunk floor and a rerouted and better protected fuel filler pipe.

Volkswagen Jetta
Overview
Since its introduction in 1980, the Jetta has found 2.2 million buyers between New York and Los Angeles. The Jetta thus accounts for a volume of approximately 40 percent of the brand. No other vehicle from a European carmaker is as popular among customers in America as this Volkswagen.
Exterior
The front section with chrome radiator grille is the most prominent design feature of the new Jetta. For the fifth generation of this model it was essential for this face to reflect the need to be on the move notably more independently, sportier and with elegance. Stylistically, the V-formed radiator grille shows the deliberate closeness to the new Passat and the Golf GTI, the first two series models of the brand with the new VW face.
Interior
The interior features a clear, fresh and stylish design. All control elements were designed to be self explanatory. Instrument cluster example: the functional levels are clearly separated; all buttons and switches can be used intuitively. The middle tunnel rising noticeably upwards above the shifting area first opens up to air conditioning operation. Above this follows a panel of buttons for functions such as rear window heating, air circulation and seat heating. The radio or radio navigation system with a large central display is integrated above this. On the very top: the warning light switch, air vents and another storage compartment.
Under the hood
The 1.6 engine with 75 kW/102 PS: The quiet running four cylinder generates maximum output of 75 kW/102 PS at 5,600 rpms and achieves torque of 148 Newton meters at 3,800 revolutions. With a top speed of 186 km/h it gives the sedan plenty of agile driving performance. The Volkswagen can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 13.3 seconds. As an alternative to the standard five-gear transmission, Volkswagen will be offering a comfort-oriented six-speed automatic transmission (Tiptronic) for the Jetta 1.6.
The 2.0 Turbo FSI engine with 147 kW / 200 PS: Powered by the 2.0 FSI Turbo engine, the new Jetta turns out to be a veritable sports sedan. The solid front-drive vehicle breaks out of the starting blocks and reaches the 100 km/h mark is just 7.2 seconds and achieves top speed of 233km/h on the freeway without a surcharge for urgent delivery: the top model is content with average fuel mileage of just 8.0 l of super plus fuel over a distance of 100 km. The Jetta 2.0 Turbo FSI dispenses its power over a factory-installed six-gear transmission. It is also be available with a double-clutch DSG.
Safety
The Jetta features an especially effective protection system. The dynamic safety chassis with ESP as part of standard equipment, already been tried and tested in the Golf, is being used. It offers a winning synthesis of outstanding sportsmanship and persuasive qualities of comfort. Its suspension strut type front axle, greatly improved over its Bora predecessor, as well as the newly developed multi-link rear suspension have significantly improved handling, driving comfort and safety. In addition to the front, side and side head airbags, side airbags are optionally available in the back. If necessary, the passenger airbag can be deactivated, when transporting a child in a safety seat in the front, for example. Also part of standard equipment: Isofix child seat points at the two outer seats in the back. Perfection in Detail: in a head-on collision the pedals fold out of the way towards the front to prevent injuries in the leg area.

Suzuki Kizashi
Overview
In the Kizashi, sportiness is only half the story. In equal measure, the Kizashi is luxurious and beautifully crafted to expand your view of what a sedan should be. In every control you touch. On every beautiful surface upon which you gaze. In the pristine quiet of a sensuous cabin. You experience craftsmanship that inspires greater passion for driving.
Exterior
The Kizashi looks great whichever way you look at it. Its European style and Japanese craftsmanship speak of elegance and sportsmanship. Its wide stance is accentuated by a 3-dimensional curved bonnet line, giving it a muscular presence that cannot be ignored. Its facial features are complete with a confident mesh-designed front grille and wide-eyed headlamps. The rear combination lamps have a cylindrical theme that matches the look of the headlamps, and gives an impression of depth and softness.
Interior
The Kizashi spacious interior is donned in sporty, premium factory-fitted leather finishes that complement technologically advanced features. The cockpit is more tactile with easy-to-reach controls and gadgets like its 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with built-in audio and cruise control and paddle shifts for a sportier drive.

Volvo V70
Overview
The Volvo V70 is the third generation of Volvo’s best-selling estate car. It offers more of everything; it is more luxurious than its predecessor, sportier to drive, more space for both passengers and luggage and integrates a variety of intelligent solutions for flexible usage.
Exterior
The all-new Volvo V70 is also equipped with Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Intelligent Driver Information System (IDIS), two systems that can help the driver maintain better control over the driving situation. The body features a highly advanced structure that contributes to both good deformation properties in the event of a collision and to high torsional rigidity. Thanks to the design of the body structure and the optimised use of different grades of high-strength steel, torsional rigidity has been increased by no less than 15 percent compared to the previous V70 model. Good torsional rigidity is the very basis of the car’s excellent ride and roadholding properties.
Interior
Speed-dependent power steering is standard in the all-new Volvo V70. The system delivers more servo assistance at low speeds, for instance to make things easier when parking. Servo assistance is reduced as speed rises, disappearing entirely at higher cruising speeds. The V70 driver has a wide range of scope for adjusting the car’s comfort functions to suit his or her personal needs and wishes. These settings are altered in the car’s information system. The menu includes the seats, rear-view mirrors, climate unit, audio unit and to a certain extent the car’s driving properties.
Under the hood
There will also be a five-cylinder petrol engine on the new Volvo V70. It is fitted with a light-pressure turbocharger and produces 147 kW (200 hp) and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is very compact, partly because the turbocharger is integrated into the manifold. The engine is combined with a six-speed automatic Geartronic transmission, designed to handle the immense power of the most powerful turbo engines. With Geartronic it is also possible to change gear manually.
Safety
To improve safety for children in the rear seat of the all-new V70 model, Volvo has further developed the Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) with a stronger body structure, extended inflatable curtains and a height-adjustable integrated child booster cushion – the latter a world innovation. The new type of side-impact airbag launched with the all-new Volvo S80 makes Volvo’s patented Side Impact Protection System (SIPS) a more effective safety system. The new side impact airbag has two separate chambers – one for the hip section and one for the chest. The Volvo V70 features the same generation of WHIPS mechanism as was launched on the S80 model. Protection for pedestrians and cyclists has also been further developed in the all-new Volvo V70. The front has been given energy-absorbing properties, with a generously dimensioned soft structure in front of the bumper that helps reduce the risk of leg injuries. Power Parking Brake and DSTC are standard.
