Citroen C5 Overview

Cycle & Carriage France is pleased to announce the launch of the new CITROËN C5 with styling and technology upgrades. Keeping the character of the CITROËN C5 intact, styling modifications have been made to the headlamps, which get specially designed LEDs that give the car a distinctive light signature. Two major changes have been made to the power and drive trains, with the CITROËN C5 now featuring a 1.6 litre power plant co-developed with the BMW Group and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Citroen C5 Exterior

Recognised as one of the best-styled models in its segment, the CITROËN C5 has been subtly upgraded. The changes enable the car to keep all its character while making it immediately visible and recognisable on the road. LEDs have been added under the headlamps. Active day and night and combined with a light guide, they subtly strengthen the car’s light signature. The rear lights get a new “Dark Crystal” treatment with clear glass in the central section.

Citroen C5 Interior

The design of the instrument cluster on the CITROËN C5 reflects ergonomic requirements and ensures that information is laid out logically. The three dials feature annular needles, symbolising an advanced level of technology. The needles run around the dial for greater legibility and a more attractive design. This technology makes it possible to install a large display unit in the centre of each dial. The central dial is dedicated to the analogue speedometer, while the screen shows information from the on-board computer. The left-hand dial displays the fuel level and speed limiter/cruise control data, while the right-hand dial shows the rev counter and, depending on the versions, the current mode or speed on the instrument cluster.

Citroen C5 Under the hood

The CITROËN C5 is now available with a new petrol engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Developed with the BMW Group, the 1.6 litre powerplant delivers 240Nm of torque at 1400rpm and 156bhp. Combinedcycle fuel economy is 7.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions are 169g/km.

Citroen C5 Safety

The CITROËN C5 features a wide range of equipment for an easier, safer and more relaxed drive. It is fitted as standard with cruise control and a speed limiter. On the EXCLUSIVE variant, an automatic electric parking brake provides enhanced comfort and safety. This brake function also includes hill-start assist. The vehicle is automatically maintained in position for up to two seconds after the brake pedal is released, giving the driver time to move a foot from the brake to the accelerator, without the vehicle moving forwards or backwards down the slope.
