The Nissan 370Z Roadster made its world debut at the New York Auto Show last year. He was introduced shortly after the coupe version. The roadster really takes advantage of the 370Z and takes out the roof. This means that the 370Z Roadster is lighter, shorter and more powerful than its predecessor.
Just like the coupé, the convertible is powered by the same engine 3.7 liter DOHC V6 that generates an output of 332 hp (an improvement of 26 hp compared to the 350Z Roadster). Included with this engine control system and variable valve aperture control. The maximum speed is high in 1000 rpm to reach 7500.
The fabric roof is designed with an emphasis on three key areas: providing a sleek silhouette combining the new styling of the Z, providing an easy-open and close in a single action and provide an enjoyable experience when the roof is lowered, with less turbulence occasioned by the wind and the greatest possible comfort for passengers.
With the hood in the closed position, the design provides outstanding appearance and quite sophisticated with a perfect balance between the hood and the body design characteristic of Z. The shorter windscreen and the rear rounded aerodynamically improve lines of the model dynamics and kinetics. When this slope, the roof is hidden under a cover of the same color of the frame, extending forward to help create the interior classic “double-deck” of the Z Roadster.
The standard black cloth hood, the 370Z is lined with cloth interior, offering a higher quality appearance, while helping to reduce the input noise to the cabin, along with a much larger rear window (in Compared with the previous generation of the Z Roadster.
The operation of placing the hood takes about 20 seconds and is controlled either by buttons on the center console or via a button on the doors. The automatic locking system secures the top or released, without need for the pilot involved in the operation.
Like the new 370Z Coupe, new exterior Z Roadster is more aggressive in appearance and lighter and more rigid compared with the previous generation. The wheelbase is almost four inches shorter (100.4 compared to 104.3 inches) and overall length is reduced by about 2.6 inches (167.2 compared to 169.8 inches). The new Z Roadster has a hood, door panels and a chest of aluminum to reduce weight. At the same time, the body structure was extensively revised, giving more rigidity and stability.
The 370Z Roadster is offered in seven exterior colors: Solid Red, Magnetic Black, shiny silver, graphite platinum, pearly white and blue a particular color, Black Cherry.
Inside the impressive exterior, true to its sports car heritage, the interior of the Z Roadster is completely focused on driver design with three parties grouped by how a driver sees the information and operates the controls for the pilot to feel completely connected at any time.
Along with its larger displacement, 3.7-liter engine gives better power delivery up to 7,500 rpm, the power to improve speed and gives more low end torque, creating a totally new driving experience.
The engine can be mated to a seven-speed automatic with Down shift Rev Matching, or a six-speed manual with SynchroRev Match. The average fuel consumption is 18 mpg city and 25 mpg on the highway.
