The global financial crisis that has destroyed the giant corporations were not always bad. At least a survey Consumer Reports recently stated there are some positive things from the crisis.
Consumer Reports noted, some companies who profited include Chevrolet, Ford, and Subaru. This marks the third name in memory instead soared after the 2008 crisis.
In a survey titled 2010 Car Brand Perception, Consumer Reports says these three brands have increased 30 points for their overall perception during 2009. Each score in this survey reflects how consumers view each brand in the seven categories, namely safety, quality, value, performance, design, technological innovation, and environmentally friendly.
However, this survey only reflect the level of consumer perceptions of a brand in that category. Not the actual quality of the brand’s vehicles.
Indeed, to champion the brand perception is still held by Toyota. However, due to this crisis, consumers’ perceptions about Ford could overtake Honda’s former number two to be in third. Ford could be swept into second place with a score 141 points.
Chevrolet surprising. General Motors automobile output may rise higher than the order of the ninth to fourth place. While Subaru pitch with 39 points from last year’s position in the order of 18 to be in the order of the ninth.
However, the worst brands also held by General Motors. Sales plans Hummer and Saab divisions make this brand has fallen dramatically. Other luxury brands that also down are Porsche (-13 points), Lexus (-15), Cadillac (-15), Infiniti (-21), and Lincoln (-25). (ConsumerReports.org)
