Peugeot Citroen Produced in Russia
Kaluga – China is now an investment destination for the automotive world principal, but America and India followed behind. Since, the potential market in China is now the largest in the world. Besides China, Russia now began to be targeted by automotive manufacturing industry for production base.
French car maker PSA Peugeot Citroen said they would assemble four products; it is Peugeot 308, Peugeot 4007, Citroen C4 and Citroen C-Crosser in Russia starting this month. Launch is scheduled in mid-April, so the production process has to be done.

Manufacturing site located in the Kaluga that has also been defined as a place to produce Mitsubishi cars and it will be held started in September 2010. At the end of 2010, Peugeot Citroen’s plant capacity is expected to reach 25,000 units with a maximum capacity of 100,000 units per year.
From two manufacturers, the total investment that is implanted into the Kaluga reached U.S. $ 641 million. PSA Peugeot Citroen to donate 70 percent of the investment of around U.S. $ 450 million while the Mitsubishi U.S. $ 191 million.
“We are very ambitious here. In 2010, we had to boost sales and increase our presence. Russia is a key market for us,” said Director of Peugeot Russia Francois Poirier.
