Golf R turns Red Devil

Red Devil is the name German tuning firm Wimmer RS chose for its latest take on the Volkswagen Golf R. The word ‘Red’ is selected because of the color for the car. The word ‘Devil’ represents the sinister punch under the hood of the Golf R.

The CTE nightmare

If you have read the papers a few weeks ago, you’d know that there was a massive jam on the Central Expressway and that it was caused by a major accident between a motorcyclist and 2 lorries resulting in the biker being killed. Now I’m not just talking about accidents on the CTE, it just happened by coincidence that such a tragic accident occurred a few days ago from when I’m writing this article, but I must say that the expressway is utterly terrible.

Porsche Carrera GTS: A faster, wide bodied Carrera S

Porsche has unveiled a swan song of sorts for the current 911 Carrera, the 911 Carrera GTS. This current crop of 911s, the 997.2 (the ’2′ being the second revision of this chassis) is scheduled to be replaced by a new 911 sometime in 2011 and in line with this, they’ve decided to release a higher performance version of their venerable 911 Carrera which is the entry level line for the 911s. The car you see here is scheduled for its live debut at the Paris Motor Show shortly.

New Battery Plant Alliance with Renault-Nissan

The construction of the very 1st Renault-Nissan Alliance Battery Plant in Europe has some of the most important production rate of lithium-ion based batteries. They have begun at Sunderland, UK and their chief operation has been going on at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. There are supposed to be new ceremony held to celebrate the start of a new construction project works that have been proposed in the ceremony. The Nissan’s Sunderland car plant has been marking the beginning of this £210-million project. There will be new operations working from 2012 along with initial annual reports. The volume which can be contained or received have been growing through 60,000 units. The operation will work on supplying fresh batteries to Nissan as well as Renault electric vehicles. There would be new plants that would be produce along with 200 new jobs given by Nissan along with the further expansion of their supply chain all across US. There are the at an earlier time announced new locations and one of them would be in Cacia, Portugal. These plans would make battery production at a wider scale. There would also be the one in France at the Renault’s Flins plant. There would be 2nd battery assembly located through the Nissan LEAF vehicles along with the JUKE compact crossover features. These would enter the production in August 2010 along with the Nissan’s Oppama Plant in Japan. This is going to be another global production unit while the LEAF would be working with it. The first really affordable mass production zero-emission and battery operated vehicle would thus come across the world in a big way.
