This new MPV show car is based on the new – and also recently unveiled – Cruze family hatch. That’s the replacement for the unloved Lacetti. So it’s a front-drive package with a range of 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 petrol and diesel engines.2011 Chevrolet Orlando made its debut at the 2008 Paris Auto Show in early October, the same show where the Chevrolet Cruze debuted. With a 2,760 mm wheelbase (108.7 inches), the Orlando can accommodate up to three rows of seats, but the U.S. version will likely be a five-seater.
The interior appears to be quite similar to the Chevy Cruze’s interior, with a waterfall center stack and switchgear out of GM’s current models. It’s one of an eye-popping series of new Chevrolets. Today CAR reveals how the company is planning to launch a brand new product every 16 weeks from January 2009 to December 2012.
Seating is arranged over three rows and Chevrolet vows the 2760mm wheelbase (that’s longer than a Zafira‘s 2703mm axle stretch) should credibly free up space for seven passengers. The construction of the very 1st Renault-Nissan Alliance Battery Plant in Europe has some of the most important production rate of lithium-ion based batteries. They have begun at Sunderland, UK and their chief operation has been going on at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.
There are supposed to be new ceremony held to celebrate the start of a new construction project works that have been proposed in the ceremony. The Nissan’s Sunderland car plant has been marking the beginning of this £210-million project. There will be new operations working from 2012 along with initial annual reports. The volume which can be contained or received have been growing through 60,000 units. The operation will work on supplying fresh batteries to Nissan as well as Renault electric vehicles.
There would be new plants that would be produce along with 200 new jobs given by Nissan along with the further expansion of their supply chain all across US. There are the at an earlier time announced new locations and one of them would be in Cacia, Portugal. These plans would make battery production at a wider scale. There would also be the one in France at the Renault’s Flins plant.
There would be 2nd battery assembly located through the Nissan LEAF vehicles along with the JUKE compact crossover features. These would enter the production in August 2010 along with the Nissan’s Oppama Plant in Japan. This is going to be another global production unit while the LEAF would be working with it. The first really affordable mass production zero-emission and battery operated vehicle would thus come across the world in a big way.

After the launch of New Polo Hatchback in Indian Market Volkswagen is going to launch the sedan variant of New Polo to compete with the likes of Swift Dzire, Hyundai Verna & Fiat Linea. Expected Price of 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse

Mitsubishi redesigned the Eclipse for the 2006 model year, adding a big 3.8-liter V6 in place of a turbocharged four-cylinder and choose of front-wheel drive in place of or rear- or all-wheel drive.At the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, Mitsubishi showed it is continue with that plan for 2009 while giving the Eclipse freshened styling, slightly more power, and additional features.The Eclipse coupe and Spyder convertible will continue in four-cylinder GS and V6 GT models for 2009. The mid-line SE model will be dropped.
The grille features a darken center section that plays off the design theme of the 2008 Lancer Evolution. The bumpers are body color on the GS and two-tone on the GT. The overall effect is a tauter, more attractive look.

The Eclipse remains largely unchanged under the hood, but the addition of dual exhaust boosts the 3.8-liter MIVEC V6 from 263 horsepower to 265 horses at 5750 rpm. Torque is also up slightly to 262 pound-feet at 4500 rpm. The V6 is offered with a standard six-speed manual or an optional five-speed automatic transmission. The GS comes with a 162-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic.The Eclipse is built at Mitsubishi’s plant in Normal, Illinois. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but it should be little changed from the current model, which starts at $20,000 and tops out at $30,000 for a GT Spyder. Look for the 2009 model in late spring.

The Subaru press conference at the New York Auto Show isn’t until tomorrow, but with the new 2011 Impreza WRX sitting out in the open, we headed right over to snap a few photos. Just as it has done the past few years, Subaru couldn’t resist tweaking the looks of the WRX and has given it a broader stance thanks to a 1.5-inch wider track both front and rear and flared fenders like those seen on the current generation STI model. The visual upgrades are rounded off with a reworked front fascia and bumper as well as standard 17-inch wheels.
Powertrain options remains the same as the 2010 model 265 horsepower and 244 lb-ft torque is nothing to complain about and the interior remains unmolested as well. Check back tomorrow for more Subaru updates when the 2011 Impreza WRX STI is unveiled (the wing is back!).
